Grooves and Tunes

 
'Grooves and Tunes’ was written for the beginner guitarist in mind, pitched at pre grade 1 level, and can be used in conjunction with any reputable guitar tutor.
The repertoire includes a wide variety of musical genres, with the premise that right from the very first few lessons, the pupil will be actively involved with ensemble playing.
Available with the book, is a C D with backing tracks for the songs.
The backing tracks serve many purposes:
 
They are a good introduction to ensemble playing, encourage listening skills and quickly promotes good time keeping.

The pupil can perform the pieces as a soloist, or in ensemble groups, in school assemblies and public performance’s without the need of having a specialist teacher having to provide an accompaniment

.Each track allows the pupil an opportunity to improvise, a musical skill strongly encouraged in the current Music National Curriculum.
The C D has been professionally recorded using real guitars, sampled drums, bass, strings, and percussion.

Above all, ‘Grooves and Tunes’ is a teaching resource to be enjoyed by teacher and pupil. Pupils will find that their practice at home is much more of an enjoyable activity, boosting their confidence and also giving them the opportunity to perform pieces to friends and family.
